In between marigolds
Installation, porcelain, synthetic turf, 2024
An allotment garden as a retreat is a fascinating example of urban human construction. Here, I create my own Garden of Eden in the middle of the city – a small, self-made microcosm where I find refuge amidst in a self-created idyllic place. The orange glowing marigolds bloom prominently among all the other plants. I can‘t keep up with the weeding, that‘s why I had to create small sections of my utopian garden – without work, without unliked plants.
